Terms & Conditions

1. About us
This website (onedayafrica.com) is operated by One Day Travels (Pty) Ltd, trading as “One Day Africa” (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in South Africa (CIPC Reg: 2021/528146/07), with its registered address at 374 Albert Road, Woodstock, Cape Town, 7915, Western Cape, South Africa.
By booking a tour, transfer, stay or other experience with us, or by using this website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.
2. Bookings
A booking is confirmed only once you have received written confirmation from us (by email, WhatsApp, or via our booking system) and any required payment or deposit has been received.
You are responsible for ensuring that the details on your booking (date, tour, number of guests, contact details) are correct. Please tell us immediately if anything needs to be corrected.
Some tours have a minimum age, minimum group size, or accessibility limitations. These are shown on each tour page — please check them before booking.
3. Prices and payment
All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are per person unless stated otherwise. Prices shown as “from” indicate the starting price for that experience; the final price may vary depending on group size, options selected, and the date of travel.
Payments made through our online booking system are processed by our third-party booking provider. A small booking or card-processing fee may apply at checkout and will be shown before you confirm.
We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors before your booking is confirmed.
4. Cancellations and refunds
Unless a specific tour states otherwise, you may cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the tour start time. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the start time, and no-shows, are charged at 100% and are non-refundable.
Certain experiences that require pre-booked third-party tickets (for example Robben Island) are subject to 100% cancellation charges once those tickets are booked, regardless of notice given. This is noted on the relevant tour page.
Approved refunds are made to the original payment method and may take several business days to reflect.
5. Changes by us
Occasionally we may need to change an itinerary, guide, vehicle, or timing due to weather, safety, availability, or circumstances beyond our control. Where a material change is necessary, we will offer you a suitable alternative or a refund of the affected portion.
We may cancel a tour for reasons of safety or force majeure. In that case you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund of amounts paid to us for that tour.
6. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for arriving at the meeting point on time, for being reasonably fit for the activity booked, and for disclosing any medical, mobility, or dietary needs in advance so we can advise on suitability.
You must follow the reasonable instructions of your guide, particularly regarding safety. We may decline to carry or continue with any guest whose behaviour is unsafe, unlawful, or unreasonably disruptive, without refund.
Please respect the communities, people, and places we visit. Ask before photographing individuals.
7. Liability
You take part in our experiences voluntarily and at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from events outside our reasonable control, or from your failure to follow safety instructions.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the South African Consumer Protection Act, 2008, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We strongly recommend that all guests, and especially international travellers, hold comprehensive travel and medical insurance.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
