Tour Highlights & What We Cover
This nine-hour Cape Peninsula day tour is one of the great scenic drives on earth, looping from Cape Town around the tip of the continent and back. You'll travel the Atlantic Seaboard past Clifton and Camps Bay, stop at the working fishing harbour of Hout Bay, then wind along Chapman's Peak Drive — a cliff-hugging road with ocean views at every turn, with its toll included in your fare. At Cape Point Nature Reserve you reach the dramatic southwestern tip of Africa, walking up to the old lighthouse or taking the optional Flying Dutchman funicular. The day's favourite moment comes at Boulders Beach in Simon's Town, where a protected boardwalk brings you within metres of a colony of endangered African penguins.
Small Groups, Local Guides
We do the Peninsula in a 14-seater minibus (up to 13 guests) with a registered guide who actually lives in Cape Town — never a 60-seat coach. That size is the whole point: we get to Hout Bay and Boulders ahead of the tour-bus crowds, and there's time to get out, walk and look properly instead of photographing from the roadside. Book a seat on the shared departure, or take the whole vehicle for your own group and we'll pace the day around you. As a proudly local, Black-owned operator, your guide shares the peninsula's ecology and history first-hand rather than reading a script.
Pickup, Meeting Point & What's Not Included
Pickup runs from 08:00 across the City Bowl, CBD, V&A Waterfront, Green Point, Sea Point, Bantry Bay, Clifton and Camps Bay. If your accommodation isn't on that list, choose "I'll decide later" when booking and send us the address afterwards — we'll confirm either a door pickup or the nearest meeting point. Guests staying outside the pickup area meet us at Zeitz MOCAA in the Silo District; please be in the lobby or at the gate ten minutes before your allocated time, as the morning run is tight. Entry to Cape Point and to the Boulders Beach penguin colony is not in your fare — add the tickets when you book, or pay at the gate on the day. South African and SADC residents pay a reduced rate on production of ID. Lunch is also on your own — there's a restaurant at Cape Point and plenty of options in Hout Bay and Simon's Town.
