Cape Town Shore Excursions: Private Driver from the Cruise Terminal

Step off at the Cape Town Cruise Terminal and your own driver-guide is waiting — a private half or full day, planned around your all-aboard time, in a Fortuner for up to 3 guests or a Quantum for up to 13.

Ask us to plan the day

Tell us your ship name and all-aboard time in the booking notes and we plan the day around it.

From the gangway to Table Mountain, without a coach queue

A cruise port call gives you one shot at Cape Town. The ship berths in the V&A Waterfront, the terminal doors open, and the coaches fill up while you are still finding the exit. This is the other way: your own vehicle, your own registered guide-driver, and a day built around the hours your ship is actually in port.

Your driver meets you at the terminal with a name board and stays with you from the first stop to the last. Nothing is shared, nothing is fixed — if the mountain clouds over we change the order, if lunch runs long the day bends around it, and if you want twenty more minutes at the penguins you take them.

A half day or a full day — and the right time back at the ship

A half day is up to five hours: the city centre and the Company's Garden, the Bo-Kaap's painted streets, and Table Mountain by cableway when the mountain is open and clear. It fits a short port call and still gets you back with time to walk the Waterfront.

A full day is up to ten hours: the Atlantic Seaboard and Hout Bay, the cliff road over Chapman's Peak, Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope, then the African penguins at Boulders Beach in Simon's Town. The Winelands — Stellenbosch and Franschhoek — is the other full day, and usually the one for a second call in Cape Town.

  • Pickup and drop-off at the Cape Town Cruise Terminal, V&A Waterfront
  • Return time planned backwards from your all-aboard, with a buffer
  • The same driver-guide all day; your luggage stays locked in the vehicle
  • Prices are per vehicle, not per person — up to 13 guests in one vehicle

Tell us your ship and your all-aboard time

When you book, add your ship name and your all-aboard time in the booking notes — that is the number we plan the day around, not the sailing time. We confirm the return time with you on the morning and message you on WhatsApp if anything on the road changes.

Travelling with a group from the same ship? One Quantum takes 13 guests, so a family or a roll-call of friends can share a single vehicle and split one price. For parties larger than that, message us and we arrange a second vehicle.
